Over the last year, we have been working on a new Digital Archive. Our goal is to bring you more archival items other than photographs: think yearbooks, maps, pioneer stories, letters, manuscripts, you name it!
Change is hard, but we’re confident that you’ll love our new website. To access the new Digital Archive, please visit our our library homepage. Under the Local History tab at the top, click “Digital Archive” and you’re in!
There are lots of ways to search! Use the Keyword Search to perform a general search across multiple fields for any catalog records online: search "Minturn" or "Broadway Street". Use Advanced Search if you know exactly what you need: families, ranches, locations, call number, and more! Our Random Image Generator is a great way to browse the collection. Our database will generate 20 images, artifacts, and/or objects for your immediate view.
The Eagle Valley Library District and the Eagle County Historical Society work together to bring you thousands of photographs, artifacts, and many other items from historical Eagle County and the surrounding areas on the Western Slope.
Photographs are available for purchase, via high-resolution digital images (.jpeg and .tif), for a $10 fee per photograph. Orders are prepaid and final. Image order requests can be sent directly through the "Request Image" button available on all photographs in the bottom right corner of the window. Payment can be sent via check and/or Paypal using the button below. Please indicate how you wish to pay (or have paid) in the "Request Image" window. If you wish to have prints mailed to you, please contact our Local History Librarian for details concerning payment and shipment.
